Information displayed in MediTracker

What information does MediTracker display to patients?

MediTracker displays a medical summary that includes past and current problem history, medications, allergies, immunisations, measurements and pathology results retrieved from the patient’s record in the practice’s clinical software.

MediTracker does not retrieve GP notes, documents, or any records marked confidential.

Can I see what MediTracker looks like?

Yes. If you wish to see an example patient record in MediTracker, download the MediTracker App from the Apple App Store or from Google Play. Open the app, click “sign in”, then enter the following credentials:

User: jappleseed
Password: test.1234567

Can practices control the display of pathology results to patients?

Yes. MediTracker allows for a delay in the display of pathology results for up to 20 business days after they have been actioned by the GP and added to the patient’s clinical record. This provides time to first discuss results with a patient before the data is visible in MediTracker. Alternatively, the display of pathology results can be blocked for individual patients.

For more information about the publishing of pathology, please see GP Provision of Pathology Results

What if a patient’s medical record is not up-to-date?

MediTracker displays an in-app message to patients to encourage them to book an appointment with you if they have any concerns about the accuracy or currency of the information that MediTracker displays. This enables you to keep your patient records up to date and continuously improve data quality in collaboration with your patients.
