MediTracker Registration for Minors - Practice Process

Checking and updating a minor’s contact details

 

When a minor requests to be registered in MediTracker, the practice must:

  1. Ask the minor which mobile number they want to use to create a MediTracker password;

The mobile number can be:

  1. the minor’s own mobile number
  2. the mobile number of a parent or guardian (In this case the minor must provide consent to the number being used)
  3. Update the minor’s practice software record with the authorised mobile number

 

 

Creating a patient record in Inca Integrated Care Platform

 

If your practice is not set up with Precedence Connector for Inca please visit our support page at https://phc.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/sections/360003229672-Precedence-Connector

 

  1. Open the patient record in your practice software
  2. Click the Precedence Connector icon in the taskbar and select Check Status
  3. Click Create in Inca in the popup
  4. Confirm patient consent to sharing their health record
  5. Click Create Health Record

 

A welcome SMS is sent to the authorised mobile number with a MediTracker username and a link to set a password. The minor uses these details to sign in on the app.

Turning off an existing MediTracker record

 

If a minor requests that their MediTracker record be turned off after they turn 14 years of age, please contact MediTracker Support.
